Håndens og hjernens arbejde (The work of the hand and the mind) presents new works by artists Kate Morrell (UK) and Mikko Kuorinki (FIN). The show is curated by Lodret Vandret (Flemming Ove Bech & Johan Rosenmunthe).

The two-person exhibition takes Bladr’s locality and it’s neighbouring printing houses at Nørrebro as the starting point for new works, incorporating print, text and installation.

Kate Morrell works closely with archives, collections and libraries to develop projects that identify and respond to marginal or overlooked histories. Her practice interlaces drawing, text, sculpture, book works and archival research. Her imprint ‘Pleats’ acts as a catalyst for collaborative print projects which explore relationships between archaeological and artistic practices.

Mikko Kuorinki works with a variety of media including video, photography, installation and performance. His works investigate how we understand the world and our place in it. Kuorinki examines the relationship between the individual and the physical reality through language. Often conceptual, Kuorinki’s works touch upon experiences of alienation and rootlessness.
